2007
Year in Review:
Much of 2007 was spent working on components for
my MFA Thesis Exhibition (Spring 2008).  But I did
manage to work on several other projects large and
small.

16 Soldiers in all were made using a mixture of
reclaimed clay, recycled newspaper, grog, and
vermiculite.  Inspired by the little plastic toy soldiers
and countless sampled images on Flickr.

Experimentation with slip casting resulted in a series
of works including tea bags, goldfish crackers and
string dipped in slip and fired.  See results in
Constant Comment, Wishing Well, Texas Tea and
Pods.

I pushed the limits of the kiln by
throwing/coiling/throwing Q’tip at 72” tall when green.
