2006
Year in Review:
In 2006, I finished my first year of grad school and
started my second.  This was a transition year for
me.  I continued with some of my totem or trophy
style sculptures that included a combination of the
globe, human figure, books and mechanical
elements.  I was also inspired by a discussion I had
with Mark Del Vecchio about installation art, my
thought process changed, and my work started to
increase in scale and use of space became a
consideration.  After listening to criticism about
ceramic sculpture’s reliance on a pedestal, I made
the pedestal part of the art and moved the art to the
floor.
