2001-2004
Years in Review:

Period of transition.  While an undergrad at San Francisco State University, I was
introduced to hand-building and sculpture.  Prior to SFSU, my clay work was
exclusively wheel thrown pottery.  The introduction of the closed form, altering
thrown forms, slab work, and hand-building all profoundly changed the way I
worked with clay.

I was introduced to the idea of working from what you know.  As a machinist and
working in  high-tech manufacturing, I knew machines.  The influence of my "day
job" can be found taking roots at this time.
